Adventures in Room. 7

February is flying by and we have been doing a lot of amazing work in our classroom! We have been working hard in our math groups on addition and subtraction problems. Students have also been learning many games to solidify their basic facts. Ask your child to tell you some of the games they have learned.  We had an in class field trip with Teacher's Pet. Scuba Charlotte came to our classroom and took us on an ocean adventure to explore our five senses. Students used their sense of touch to find mystery objects buried in sand, they identified mystery smells and tastes, identified ocean sounds, learned about how sea lions use their senses, acted out scenarios with small seals and built an optical illusion craft.  We are reading 'The One and Only Ivan' as a class and our class is loving it!
